Beige [Poem]

Before I met you

My room was frowny, edgy

Dark minimalist

I couldn’t stand bright colors

They’re too much; they’re blinding

Then we started to get serious

You’re pouring down warm, ardent, cheery feelings

all over my face

I love you

You’re too bright but I love you

Right now we’re sitting in my room

The frowny, edgy, dark minimalist room

You’re staring at my walls; you’re thinking

Then you said

“When we get married, I want to paint our

walls beige, bright beige.”

Beige is too bright for me

“Sure. Beige looks perfect,”

But I love you
